Wool’s Duck
This is an easy technique to do with kids. You don’t need complicated materials, you just need: white yarn, cardboard, yellow felt, orange painting (or pencil) glue, needle, scissors.
- Cut 2 cardboard’s circles with the same size. Cut a smaller circle in the middle of both circles.
- Put the 2 cardboards together and a yarn around the cardboards. Make a knot to secure it. Pass the yarn around the cardboard until the cardboard is completely covered.

- With the scissors, cut the borders of the yarn. Separate the cardboards and put the yarn around the middle, make a strong knot. Then, eliminate the cardboards breaking them.
- Do the same process with smaller circles to make duck’s head.
- Saw the balls together.
- Cut beak, feet and wings shape with felt. With a thin brush or the pencil, colour with orange if you want.
- Cut little felt’s black circles for the eyes. You can use other materials, like buttons.
- Glue the pieces to the body or saw them, if you want.
