Stitches…

There’re a lot of stitches in knitting!!! Here you can see some stitches that are usually used.

A general tip: everytime you end a row, you turn the needles over (left to right and right to left) and pass the first loop from left needle to right needle. You start doing the stitches in the second loop.

1 - Stockinette Stitch or Jersey.

Knit one row, Purl one row, Knit one row, Purl one row…… easy! You see this pattern only in the front side.

2 - Garter Stitch or Santa Clara.

Knit all rows!!! You see this pattern on both sides.

3 - To work rabbing.
First Row: Knit one stitch, Purl the other one, Knit one stitch, purl the other one… Second Row: Finish with purl, starts with knit.

I’ll show you 2 more styles soon. Practise this styles before!!!
