Knitting warm ups

Hi! I founded in my house a lot of yarns, but none of them were complete, they were the rests of used yarns. I decided to do warm ups. When you have little yarns that are different in colour and in kind you have to do something:

1) Easy: Because you’ll have to do a lot of knots to join the wool

2) Useful: It’s always more interesting to do something that someone will wear or use in an “useful” way!

HOW DID I MAKE THEM?

a- Before starting I did the yarns, joining 2, 3, 4 or more little yarns for each new bigger yarn. As the yarn’s wides were all different I had to use more than one yarn in some cases to achieve the wide that I nedded.

b - Then I casted on 40 stitches with the neddles (11 US or 8 mm. neddles). The number of stitches depends on the leg. In my case it was for a slim woman.

c - Then I did 4 rows of elastic pattern: knit 2 stitches and purl 2 stitches in the first 4 rows. If you finish the row with a knit you start with a purl.

d - After that you have to knit 1 row and purl the following. Repeat this pattern until your warm ups are long enough. (Until the knee, but they can be longer or shorter)

e - At that moment, you repeat the step c.

Here you have some pics, when I finish the warm ups I’ll show them to you.
